Handcrafted Shou Sugi Ban Floating Shelf

Add warmth and character to your space with this handcrafted floating shelf, finished using the traditional Japanese wood-burning technique known as Shou Sugi Ban (Yakisugi). This process enhances the natural grain of the wood while creating a beautifully textured, durable finish.

Each shelf is carefully made by hand, beginning with solid timber that is cut, planed, and sanded smooth before the surface is lightly charred to bring out the striking grain pattern. The wood is then finished with premium stain and sealed with a protective polyurethane coat for durability and a rich, deep colour.

The result is a unique shelf with bold grain patterns and natural variation — no two pieces are ever exactly the same.

These shelves are ideal for displaying plants, candles, books, photos, or decorative pieces, and they add a rustic modern touch to living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and offices.
